This is a series of study notes dealing with certain elementary problems on specific scriptural passages, involved in considering the preferential English translations of the Greek New testament text, whether the King James Version (the authorized Version), 1611 – British; or the British revised Version, 1880’s; or the American Standard Version, 1900-1901; or the American Revised Standard Version 1946-1952. This collection gives the essential facts that the author wished to have available for himself, accompanied by his own reflections thereon as his work developed. It should be kept clearly in mind that only the New Testament is considered herein, save for a short discussion of the origin of writing and of modern criticism of the Old Testament. 475 pages.
