(Volume 17) The last of the FAITH-PROMOTING SERIES, this volume is double in size because of all the stories obtained from members of the Church in their effort to influence for good the faith and lives of the young people of the Church. It was also enlarged as a result of a conversation the publisher had with a literary friend that the members of the Church would be willing to pay 50 cents for a book of this value just as easily as they would pay 25 cents for one that was smaller in size. Therefore, this volume is double in size as compared with other editions of this SERIES. The articles included in this volume are sufficiently varied as to subject matter to interest most of those into whose hands it may come, so said the publisher in the Preface. These range from missionary experiences among the cannibals of the Hawaiian Islands of James S. Brown, to those of William Parkin who was inspired of the Lord to borrow money with the faith that the Lord would provide a way for him to repay. Other events given in this volume are a sailors experiences at sea of divine protection; obtaining genealogies; warnings of the Spirit; prophecies of Heber J.
