Ann was born in Wales in 1840 and died in Brigham City, Utah in 1916. She arrived in Utah in 1852 and by 1854 was married at a young age to her first husband Ricy Jones. When he left Ann to find work, she was left destitute as he sold all their possessions for his needs. She was forced to return to her mother to live in Brigham City. About this time she received a letter from her well-to-do uncle Lewis in Wales. He had heard of her destitute situation and offered her to be heir of all his property, but she would have to return to Wales and denounce her faith in the Gospel. This she refused to do. Her husband returned in 1856 and they had 8 children. She later was divorced from Ricy, and in 1875 married John Burt, having 2 children by him. Ann was one of the leading ladies in Brigham City, and a generous donor to Church institutions, and a faithful worker in various capacities in different Church organizations. 108 pages
