(Volume 10) Included in this book of the FAITH-PROMOTING SERIES are the short biographies of John Tanner, Daniel Tyler, and Newel Knight taken from their personal histories and journals. Like other books of this series, the true accounts are related to "increase the faith of the youth of the Church."

"There is a gradually increasing interest among the young of this people for reading and study. It is now the ambition of nearly every son and daughter of the Saints to become well educated.
